The 24 Hour Service Project Charrette: Montgomery, Alabama

The 24 Hour Service Project Charrette was a volunteer gathering where attendees of CNU Atlanta joined forces to develop a block scale plan for a two block area adjacent the Historic Five Points section of Montgomery, Alabama. The service project component results from the site’s location in an economically depressed infill area in the city’s center that is also located on the historic Selma to Montgomery Civil Rights trail. The charrette began on Tuesday, May 18 at 11:00 am and terminated on Wednesday, May 19 at 11:00 am. This effort has been sponsored by the City of Montgomery, Alabama and the Hampstead Institute.
