Pasco County Awarded; Project To Be Presented at APA 2012 Conference in April

Pasco County was awarded the One Bay Award by the Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council (TBRPC) last week for the latest phase of a regional planning initiative. The entire project will be presented at the APA 2012 Conference in Los Angeles on Sunday April 15, from 4:00PM to 5:15PM. Jason King will co-present at the session entitled Mobility Fees, TDRs, and Form-Based Guidelines. Pasco County established five Market Areas within the County, each with its own policies for growth, transportation, economic development, conservation, and impact fees. One aspect of the project, co-led by DKP, involves a transferable development rights program for rural preservation coordinated with transit planning involving the Tampa Bay Regional Transportation Authority. In the near future, farmland and forest preservation will be closely linked to the development of new compact transit-ready development.
