Bradenton Form Based-Code wins 2012 Driehaus Award

The Form-Based Code for Bradenton, Florida prepared by Dover-Kohl is one of two codes to receive the 2012 Richard H. Driehaus Charitable Land Trust Form-Based Codes Award. Bradenton's form Based code was adopted in June 2011. The code includes designs for pedestrian-friendly, multi-modal thoroughfares, architectural standards that promote climate-responsive, authentic buildings, landscape standards that encourage habitat creation and local food production, and sustainability articles on diverse topics such as dark-sky lighting, renewable energy generation, and low-impact stormwater design. The award will be presented at CNU 20 in West Palm Beach, Florida.
