The Opening Summit—the first of a series— will focus on the State of the Region. It will include a collaborative work session to kick-start a plan for more prosperous communities, a cleaner environment, and a stronger economy. The Summit will be held Wednesday, June 27 at the Cultural Arts Center in Delray Beach.
Seven50: The Plan for Economic Prosperity provides an opportunity for the region’s residents and stakeholders to work in unison toward a vibrant and resilient economy, equitable and livable communities, and environmental sustainability. Seven 50 is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to plan a better future.
The Southeast Florida Regional Partnership includes over 200 organizations and public, private and civic stakeholders from a diverse region extending 300+ miles from the Florida Keys in the south to the Sebastian Inlet to the north. In October of 2010 the South Florida Regional Planning Council and Treasure Coast Regional Planning Council on behalf of the seven-county region of Monroe, Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie, and Indian River counties secured a grant from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development to begin this multi-year regional conversation.
Get involved. Participate in the website forums, attend the regional summits and workshops, or join a Work Group to help draft the plan. Southeast Florida is on the front line of economic, social, and climactic shifts. Seven 50 will inform the national dialogue.
