Seven50 Roadshow Kicks-off

The first of the Seven50 Workgroup Roadshows was held in Monroe County last Thursday, October 11. It was well attended by over fifty participants including three County Commissioners and the Directors of Growth Management and Planning. Commissioner Heather Carruthers of Monroe County began the workshop by saying, “The concept of sustainability holds that the demands of today must not supersede the needs of the future… Sustainable development of the region requires balance between the resource requirements of the environment, the economy, and society”.

Workshops to gather input for the plan in each of the remaining six counties of Southeast Florida will occur through October and November. Seven50, the Southeast Florida Prosperity Plan, is a blueprint for ensuring economic prosperity and the best-possible quality of life for Southeast Florida.
