Seven50 Summit, "A Look Ahead: Trends and Opportunities"
There's still time to sign up for the Seven50 Summit this Thursday, January 24 in Miami-Dade College Wolfson Campus. Co-hosted by Victor Dover, this Second Summit will focus on looking ahead. Speakers will include Andrés Duany of DPZ, as well as political and cultural leaders from Southeast Florida’s seven counties who will discuss a broad variety of key topics facing the region in the century ahead, including adapting to climate change, improving higher education, creating a balanced transportation system, and staying economically competitive in a changing global market.
During the highly interactive summit, attendees will participate in live keypad polls throughout the day and personally record videos with their visions for the region. The public will also get a first peek at a comprehensive model for the seven counties in 2060, which is currently under development, and will provide input for the creation of alternate future scenarios. Attendees will design the future alongside urban planners and transportation experts.
A live webcast will be provided for those who cannot attend in person. An informal summit reception will take place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 23, at the Freedom Tower, 600 Biscayne Boulevard, Miami, FL, 33132.
