Leaders from the seven-county region of southeast Florida gathered last week for the last in a series of four public summits held to engage a wide-ranging conversation about the future of the region.
The ambitious two-year public engagement effort led by Dover-Kohl came to a close with the presentation of a dynamic plan to guide decision-making and cooperation as the region grows and evolves over the next 50 years. The plan focuses on major issues that go beyond city limits, county lines, state limits and national borders. These issues include: economic development, transportation, education, food supply, energy, leadership, climate resilience and more.
